Shalom ladies and gentlemen
\nAnd welcome to my brit
\nMy mummy helped me write this poem
\nAs I am a little young for wit<\/p>\n

I turned up last Friday morning
\n2 weeks before my date
\nI wanted my brit on Rosh Hashanah
\nSo I couldn\u2019t afford to wait<\/p>\n

After thoughtfully letting my parents sleep
\nI started on my journey outside
\nMy parents have had a busy few weeks
\nSo I gave them an easy ride<\/p>\n

Just a half hour after we got to hospital
\nUp in the beautiful Tzfat mountain air
\nI zoomed out promptly at 9am
\nAnd gave the midwives a scare<\/p>\n

They had barely had time
\nTo get mummy ready, in such a hurry was I
\nI came out with the cord round my neck
\nBut I still let out a great big cry<\/p>\n

My parents named me Yaron Moshe
\nTheir first sabra baby boy
\nA beautiful bundle of joy for them
\nAnd for Jojo, a cool new toy<\/p>\n

My first name has two meanings
\nHe will sing and also He will be happy
\nThey are both related to Rosh Hashanah
\nAnd I am also a very happy chappy<\/p>\n

My middle name is after my great-grandpa
\nWho also made aliyah long ago
\nHis journey from Yemen was very difficult
\nAnd he named his first sabra Moshe also<\/p>\n

And so now you have heard my story
\nI hope you will enjoy this meal
\nI am sorry not to be sociable
\nBut I need some time to heal<\/p>\n

I also want to thank all of you
\nFor making this such a special day
\nWe are truly blessed to know all of you
\nAs you have all helped us out in some way<\/p>\n

Lastly I want to thank Hashem
\nFor blessing my family with such joy
\nI can\u2019t wait to discover more of His world
\nAnd I promise to be a good boy<\/p>\n
