It&#8217;s on my towel! Aagghh&#8230;)<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>So I call up clalit this morning, our healthcare provider, to make a standard appointment.\u00a0 The only available languages are hebrew, arabic or russian.\u00a0 I choose the hebrew option but she speaks so fast I can barely follow the next set of options.\u00a0 I decide to go for the first one thinking this is most likely to be the one for making a standard\u00a0appointment.\u00a0 Logically.<\/p>\n<p>I get through to a lady, and when\u00a0I ask for an appointment\u00a0she keeps\u00a0asking if I want a\u00a0&#8220;second opinion&#8221;.\u00a0 I explain, no, I dont need one of those, I just have some blood results and I was told to discuss them with the doctor.\u00a0 She explains that I have pressed the option for second opinions.\u00a0 She puts me through to another option and I fall about laughing as it dawns on me that the primary option when calling your healthcare provider is for <em>getting a second opinion<\/em>.\u00a0 And people say this country does not feel like a Jewish state???!<\/p>\n<p>Our flat-purchasing drama continues.\u00a0 We almost gave up today and a kind new friend took us to see a load of rentals, but now it looks like there is a chance we can move in soon after all.\u00a0 So we wait and pray.\u00a0 Estate agents are turning out to be very helpful, much to our surprise, and are trying their utmost to move things along for us.\u00a0 It seems the delay is from our seller, who has been very slow in producing key documents.\u00a0 It amazes me that he would think\u00a0anybody (even &#8220;naive&#8221; foreigners)\u00a0would be willing to sign a contract and hand over a huge sum of money without having checked that the entire property is soundly built, legal and fitting with it&#8217;s description.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes I feel like I have landed on another planet.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Number of Cockroach Sightings: 1\u00a0\u00a0(It&#8217;s on my towel!
